IOB Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27
Indian Overseas Bank, a leading Public Sector Bank, invites online applications from qualified candidates for engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and as per the Bank's Apprenticeship Policy, for FY 2026-27, for 750 vacancies across various States/UTs.
Selection Process
- Online Written Examination (Objective Type - 100 marks, 90 minutes)

Important Guidelines & Preparation Tips
- Total 750 apprentice vacancies across States/UTs: SC 176, ST 63, OBC 247, EWS 32, GEN 232 (includes backlog vacancies).
- Out of 750, PwBD seats reserved: HI 19, OC 16, VI 17, ID 16 (on horizontal basis).
- Candidates must register on NAPS (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) or NATS (nats.education.gov.in) portal before applying, and provide their NAPS/NATS enrolment number in the online application.
- Application allowed only from ONE State/UT, preferably the candidate's home State/UT.
- Age: Minimum 20 years, Maximum 28 years as on 01.07.2026 (DOB between 01.07.1998 and 01.07.2006) for GEN/EWS. NAPS-registered candidates must be below 34 years as on cut-off date.
- Age relaxation: SC/ST - 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) - 3 years, PwBD - 10 years (cumulative with one other category).
- Educational Qualification: Degree in any discipline from a recognized university, result declared on or before 31.07.2026.
- Stipend: Metro Rs. 15,500/month, Urban Rs. 14,500/month, Semi-Urban/Rural Rs. 14,000/month (including govt. subsidy where applicable).
- Application fee once paid is non-refundable and non-adjustable against any other engagement process.
- Apprentices are NOT treated as employees of the Bank and are not entitled to regular employment benefits.
- EXTENSION: Closing date for online application on NAPS & NATS extended to 27.07.2026 (Monday); fee payment on BEEP extended to 28.07.2026 (Tuesday), as per notification dated 20.07.2026.
How to Apply
- Register on the NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) or NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in) before applying.
- Visit www.iob.bank.in (Careers page) or www.bfsissc.com / https://beep.bfsissc.com and click 'Apply Online' under Engagement of Apprentices.
- NATS candidates: login on nats.education.gov.in, go to 'Apply against advertised vacancies' section and apply against Indian Overseas Bank's advertisement.
- NAPS candidates: search 'Indian Overseas Bank' under 'Search By Establishment Name', view the opportunity and click 'Apply for this Opportunity'.
- Fill the online application form on BEEP with correct NAPS/NATS enrolment number and personal details.
- Pay the requisite application/examination fee online on BEEP within the fee payment window.
- No other mode of application or payment will be accepted.
