VSSC Recruitment 2026 Overview
VSSC Apprentice Trainee Recruitment 2026-27
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for selection as Apprentice Trainees under the Apprentices Act 1961 and Amendment Act 1973 at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram, for filling up vacancies for the training year 2026-2027. The duration of training will be one year from the date of joining.

- Graduate Apprentice (Engineering disciplines) - Stipend Rs. 12,300/- per month
- Graduate Apprentice (Hotel Management/Catering Technology) - Stipend Rs. 12,300/- per month
- Graduate Apprentice (General Stream Non-Engineering Graduates) - Stipend Rs. 12,300/- per month
- Technician Apprentice (Diploma in Engineering/Commercial Practice) - Stipend Rs. 10,900/- per month
Selection Process
Selection will be based on the highest marks scored by candidates in the relevant qualifying examination, through a walk-in selection drive; there is no separate written exam.
Important Guidelines & Preparation Tips
- Candidates who acquired their Degree/Diploma before April 2022, those appearing for final year exams, result-awaiting candidates, or those pursuing M.E/M.Tech are NOT eligible to apply.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act 1961/Amendment Act 1973, or have one year or more experience from any institution as Apprentice, are NOT eligible.
- Candidates who have completed five years from the month and year of passing their Degree/Diploma are NOT eligible for Apprenticeship training.
- Where a university mentions both CGPA and percentage of marks, at least one criterion (CGPA or percentage) must meet the eligibility norms; conversion of CGPA to percentage is not permitted for determining eligibility.
- Candidates qualified from recognized Universities/State Boards of Technical Education under the Southern Region of BoAT (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puducherry) will be given priority.
- Applications will be received only on the day of the selection drive on 25.07.2026; no other mode of application will be accepted.
- Mere completion of one year of Apprenticeship training at VSSC or any ISRO/Department of Space unit does not confer any right to permanent employment.
- Canteen and transport facilities are admissible during training; candidates must arrange their own accommodation.
How to Apply
- Applications are received only in person at the Selection Drive venue on 25 July 2026 (Saturday), 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Visit the VSSC Pavilion at Karthika Thirunal Govt. V&GHSS for Girls, Manacaud, Thiruvananthapuram District, Kerala.
- Carry original mark sheets/certificates and self-attested copies of Degree/Diploma (Provisional/Final) certificate and consolidated mark list.
- Carry SSLC/SSC/AISSE/ICSE certificate as proof of date of birth.
- Carry Experience Certificate (if any) and one passport size photograph.
- SC/ST candidates carry a copy of valid Community/Caste Certificate issued by Tahsildar (Taluk Office); OBC candidates carry a valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate; EWS candidates carry a valid Income & Asset Certificate; PwBD candidates carry a Certificate of Disability issued by competent authority.
- Application forms will be provided at the venue after scrutiny of documents and will need to be duly filled in and handed over to VSSC officials along with copies of certificates/testimonials at the time of the Selection Drive.
