WCL Statutory Supervisory Staff Recruitment 2026
Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a Mini Ratna Company and subsidiary of Coal India Limited under the Ministry of Coal, invites applications from eligible Indian nationals through online mode for regular appointment to the posts of Mining Sirdar, T&S Grade-C and Assistant Foreman (Trainee) (Electrical)/Electrical Supervisor, T&S Grade-C, required for its Underground (UG) and Opencast (OC) mines. Selection will be done on the basis of a Computer Based Test (CBT).
Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT) - 100 questions (General Aptitude 20, Technical 80), 90 minutes duration, no negative marking

Important Guidelines & Preparation Tips
- Candidates can apply for only one of the two notified posts; applying for multiple positions will lead to cancellation of candidature.
- For Mining Sirdar: valid Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS, Gas Testing Certificate, First-Aid Certificate and 3 years experience in Underground Mines OR Diploma in Mining Engineering with valid Overman competency, Gas Testing and First Aid Certificates.
- For Assistant Foreman (Trainee)(Electrical)/Electrical Supervisor: Diploma (minimum 3 years) in Electrical Engineering and a valid Electrical Supervisory Certificate for Mines.
- Degree/Diploma qualifications acquired through distance learning/part-time shall not be considered.
- Candidates with restricted competency certificates will not be eligible as vacancies are for both UG and OC mines.
- The cut-off date for all purposes including eligibility/suitability/age determination is the last date of filling the online application, i.e. 10.08.2026.
- No relaxation in the minimum qualification and eligibility criteria is admissible for any category of candidate.
